the Sturt's Desert Pea is a truly unique flower, whilst searching for reference images to paint this I was struck by their stunning appearance, especially against an often red-dirt ground. I was asked to create this artwork for an upcoming collection to be featured on homewares, and in the process I fell in love with this quirky Aussie flower. What a beauty!
